The Rackettown Wildlife Club is a membership only, full-service deer processing facility that has been in business since 1985. Membership is free but applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid Georgia hunting license to join and use the
We take whole deer or deer parts. If you bring us a whole deer (one to be skinned), we are required to record your name, the date of harvest, county of harvest and gender of your deer. You are responsible for obtaining a DNR confirmation for your deer within
24 hours of harvest.
If you skin & quarter your own deer, we ask that you keep the deer chilled or iced down for no longer than three days before bringing it to us. A quartered deer for our purposes is a deer with the two front shoulders detached, the two hind quarters detached; the backstraps and tenderloins cut out of the backbone and ribs detached from the spine, if desired.
As a preventive measure to halt the spread of CWD, GA DNR requires that all deer harvested out of state be completely deboned before you bring it across state lines.
Any small pieces or scrap meat must be in a zip-lock bag- not loose in the cooler. Be sure to keep the meat cold, clean and if using ice, drain and refresh ice as needed. We reserve the right to refuse any deer that may present a contamination risk to our facility.
Meat with hair, dirt, leaves, grass or blood clots will be refused. We do not do wild hogs. We do not take road kill deer.
We offer custom specialty products as well as common cuts at a competitive price. We make every effort to set a reasonable price for our services and stick with it for the season. However, prices may change based on market supplies and prices.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX, personal checks and cash. There will be a $50 penalty fee for returned checks.
A deposit of $40 will be required for each processing order. The deposit will be applied to the final processing fee when the order is picked up. All processed orders must be picked up within seven days of notification. It is the member’s responsibility to ensure that we have an accurate, up to date contact number to call or text. Any orders not picked up within seven days of initial notification, will be subject to a $3/day storage fee. Any orders not picked up within fourteen days will be sold for the processing fee.
